Health Log 9 - Circus act
God is faithful and alive!
Tomorrow morning at 07:30 I will be going to the Heart Hospital for a Trans-escophogeal echo (TEE). In other words, I'm swallowing a pipe with a Sonar attached to it. Its a great circus trick. This will check out my heart to see if there is any vegetation on my heart valves. Apparently that's a bad thing. I would agree. Imagine a pumpkin growing on your heart valve.
This Doc who is doing this procedure is awesome. His wife (she's a nurse) works with him and they gonna check me out. They are awesome because they love Jesus very much. So be rest assure you blog-readers, Jesus is on top of this one too. Cool hey!

Health Log 8 - Fast Healing
No doctor has come up with a diagnosis as to what is happening in my body or what the cure is but luckily God knows. So I will be before God asking Him for help.
My hope is that God heals me completely over these next three days. So if you read this, please pray for me.

Health log 7 - being the Church
But God is in control. Even when I am down He show Himself to me. Today I am going to the Heart Hospital to see a Cardiologist who has said He will see me for free.
A friend of mine called Doc and told him and his wife (I think she's a nurse) the story and he agree to check me out. All three (my friend, the Doc and his wife) Love Jesus and see this as an opportunity to glorify to God by using their gifting to help me.
My friend will drive me there, which is 45min away, to see the Doc. How can I not see God through His Children. I am surrounded by fellow brothers and sisters who are caring for me in my weakest. Two of which I haven't even met.
God says it Himself, "when you are weak I am strong". (Somewhere is the Bible).
Keep the SON in your eyes! God is awesome!

Health log 6 - God in action
In all that time I have come to know the power of Gods love. I have not been healed and still am in pain as I write this, but what I have experienced has been amazing.
A month ago I was at my wits end. I lay in bed crying and poured out my heart to God. I had given up on everything! I asked Him if He had forgotten me; was I being punished; was He still there? I told God that if He cared for me, then why has He not sent anyone to physically come and pray for me and allow me to unburden myself. The very next day I had a knock on the door. As I opened the door, there stood a man I respect, a God fearing minister (I say that because some are not) who felt God tell him -while he was preaching that morning- to some pray for me! I almost burst out crying (but I had a pride issue). He ministered to me and I felt I had a new lease on life.
God has revealed Himself to me in so many ways. I've had friends, acquaintances and strangers send me messages of encouragement and prayer. My facebook wall and inbox, sms, email, is full of these gifts of love.
Just this past tuesday, I discovered a friend and her mother fasted for me for my health. That same day three different groups of people took time to lay hands on me and pray for me.
I am currently running and Alpha course at a church. When the Alpha weekend was due to run, I was in hospital. I had talks to do but was unable to. My friends and colleagues, selflessly gave up their weekend to stand in my place to make sure all went well. God pitched up!
Last night (Thursday) I had a speaker lined up to do the talk. She couldn't make it so I did the scheduled talk. Here's the kicker - it was entitled: DOES GOD HEAL TODAY! I couldn't not help but laugh at the irony.
From my bench, I have seen God orchestrate life and I am humbled. I have learnt to see God at work. I am blown away!
I CANNOT deny that God is up to something with me. He is allowing this pain to continue for some reason and for His glory.
I will not lie, I am itching to get off the bench and go flat out back into life but I am under His guidance and mercy and will trust Him for that moment.
Until then, God is in control and His will be done.

Health log 5
Unfortunately, this morning I woke up with and inflamed jaw. So painful that I cannot talk. It took me forever to eat pronutro this morning with a teaspoon. Crazy stuff.
Along with my jaw I have a pain in my short rib of the left side. Feels uncomfortable as if cracked.
These however are the least of my worries. My resting heart rate is still very high. It ranges from 85 to 130 beats per minute each day. I thinks its time I see a Cardiologist. Ever time I feel my heart rate pick up I get chest pains. At that point I wait for the symptoms of a heart attack. I can't say this is a very pleasant feeling.
Today I start my penicillin treatment. One injection per month for one year. This is going to be interesting. Woop woop!
But I have learnt one lesson for sure; I've learnt they value of a minute of life. Every minute to me is a gift that I treasure.
I know God is in control and He knows what He is doing. I trust Him. After all, if my journey now is to highlight the love Jesus has for us and allows some people to be inspired, or even, becoming followers if Jesus, then my life has got purpose. This hope is what calls me to continue serving my Lord in every way possible. Even in ill health.
